Neuroethics 2026
April 15-17, 2026
Featured Talks
Several authors with an accepted research abstract will be invited to give an oral presentation of their work. Presentations will be various lengths, depending on conference location, as follows:
- Stanford: each speaker is allocated 15 minutes (4 speakers in 60-minute sessions) which is expected to be roughly 10 minutes for their oral presentation and the remaining time dedicated to questions and answers from the audience
- Lucca: each speaker is allocated 17 minutes (4 speakers in 75-minute sessions) which is expected to be roughly 10 minutes for their oral presentation and the remaining time dedicated to questions and answers from the audience
- Stellenbosch: each speaker is allocated 25 minutes (4 speakers in 100-minute sessions) which is expected to be roughly 20 minutes for their oral presentation and the remaining time dedicated to questions and answers from the audience
Invitations for featured talks will be made on the basis of abstract topic, quality of submission, and with consideration for giving a platform to junior scholars and underrepresented perspectives or lines of inquiry. Both in-person attendees and virtual participants will be eligible to give featured talks — although there may be some limitations based on how the program and schedule is structured.
Presenting authors attending the meeting in-person are encouraged to give their talk live. Presenters may use slides, which will be due a few days in advance of the presentation time.
Presenting authors may alternatively submit a video recording of their talk. This recording will then be broadcast to attendees at the presentation time. See the video recordings section below for the details.
Printed Posters
Poster presentations include pinning up a large-format printed poster and the presenting author being present to discuss their research with attendees.
Presenting authors are expected to give a formal, 3 minute presentation of their research at an assigned time. Judges will clearly identify themselves prior to engaging with presenting authors, and are allowed to but not required to give direct feedback.
Presentation times for in-person poster presentations will be determine for each meeting location. All presenters will be assigned to one of these times. Assignments were sent by email to authors in advance of the meeting.
